My Journey into Tourism

I never imagined that I would one day found a tourism company. Although I have always been passionate about social impact and community development, my early career was in public service, which I loved. I worked as a Senior Probation Officer and in social welfare for several years, helping communities and vulnerable groups. Yet, I realized that I could do more by combining my love for Tanzania’s nature with meaningful social change.

In 2015, I began studying sustainable tourism and ethical adventure travel. I wanted to create experiences that not only showcased Tanzania’s natural beauty but also benefited local communities and conservation efforts. After years of learning, collaborating with local guides, and understanding the tourism industry, I founded Thrive Adventures—a company dedicated to immersive, ethical, and socially responsible tourism.

Our goal is simple: every journey should leave a positive impact. We design safaris, marine tours, and cultural experiences that immerse travelers in Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes, and traditions while actively supporting education, healthcare, and environmental projects. Whether it’s witnessing the Great Migration in the Serengeti, exploring marine life in Zanzibar and Mafia, or engaging with local communities in Tanga, Bagamoyo, and Kilwa, every adventure contributes to a greater purpose.

In 2020, we expanded our offerings to include unique cultural and eco-tourism experiences, ensuring our guests connect deeply with Tanzania’s heritage and nature. We believe that tourism can be a force for good—protecting wildlife, empowering communities, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

As a Mandela Washington Fellow and social-impact entrepreneur, I am proud to lead Thrive Adventures in redefining tourism in Tanzania. Each day, we strive to create authentic, responsible, and unforgettable experiences for our travelers while making a tangible difference in the communities we serve.

We can’t wait to welcome you and share Tanzania’s wonders with you.

Karibu Tanzania!
